I have a Master's in teaching English, and am a Cambridge & IDP Certified IELTS Teacher. I also teach TOEFL and other exam preparation. I teach Business and Academic English and have worked in the IT industry for over 20 years. I like to learn too and am learning a second language, so I know what the challenges are. I am learning Mandarin, the spoken language in China. Learning can be hard, but it can also be very rewarding. I love technology and have all the latest gadgets.

January 2026 - New to iTalki but far from new to Teaching: My first student was back in the mid 1990's and since then have taught many students. In the last 8 years alone, I have conducted over 18,000 classes with around 3,400 students. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident and not worried about any mistakes, this is how we learn. People say I am really funny; I will leave that to your own judgement 😊. Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I like to always have a plan for learning that we can work to and adapt as needed. This way we can measure progress against any deadlines and see that progress is being made. I also believe that lessons can teach new things using English as the median, so you can pick up new skills using English to do so.
