Every class is full of useful vocabulary and cultural insight. Sherri is always well prepared and makes you feel comfortable practicing new things. I used to be so scared to speak Chinese because I was embarrassed to make mistakes, but over time she’s really helped me overcome those fears, reorient my learning mindset, and gain confidence as a student. Can’t recommend her highly enough.

I’ve been studying Chinese with Sherri for about a month and a half now, and she has been an excellent teacher. She is patient, encouraging, and very good at explaining pronunciation, tones, and sentence structure in a way that makes learning feel manageable instead of overwhelming. I study every day, and her lessons have really helped build my confidence speaking Mandarin. She creates a comfortable environment where it’s okay to make mistakes and learn naturally. I’ve made more progress than I thought I would in such a short time. If you are serious about learning Chinese and want a teacher who is knowledgeable, supportive, and easy to work with, I highly recommend Sherri.

Very well structured lesson, teacher helped kids to describe their daily activities in Chinese, then taught them some new words and practiced conversations using those new words. The class ended with some fun games using Chinese. Kids learned and had fun at the same time!
