Julie’s been there with me for years. Lately she’s helping me through Mandarin presentations for my master’s. She always finds time and is the most thorough teacher I’ve had out of all the other teachers I tried on iTalki. She knows when to cut in and correct you, she’s very detail-oriented, and she holds me accountable to the goals I’ve been setting for myself. Really a stand-out teacher that I will always keep coming back to when I need to take my mandarin to the next level.

Highly recommend working with Julie if you want to study Chinese. I started taking classes with her about a year ago, and I went from barely able to speak, to having basic conversations with local Taiwanese and dating someone who only speaks Chinese. Your Chinese will improve a lot with her help. Like the other reviews say, she’s very friendly and easygoing, and she can work with you at any level of Chinese, even if you’re just starting out.
