I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about what we did for Christmas and New Year's and then we did a roleplaying scenario in Tagalog where I pretended to buy a laptop in a store. Maraming salamat!

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about stuff we'd been doing lately in our respective lives and also about some broader topics (like the ages when people typically have kids in the Philippines and in the U.S.). And then we did a role playing exercise in Tagalog in which we pretended that I was a customer at a restaurant trying to order some food. Maraming salamat!
