Carlota

Carlota is not just an incredibly skilled language teacher, but one of the most thoughtful, kind, and patient people I've had the pleasure of getting to know. She has provided unwavering support in my journey with Spanish. She explains grammatical concepts simply and effectively, and has a knack for picking up on the word or phrase I'm trying to say, even when I can't seem to find it. She is always prepared with an interesting article for us to discuss, even though it's often unnecessary because I am convinced she could talk to anyone about pretty much anything and her natural personality and inquisitiveness would turn it into a lovely conversation. I feel very fortunate to have found her and am very glad we have become friends over our hours of lessons together.

Carlota is just the greatest! We watched and read some videos and articles that were super interesting, and our conversations about them were really fun. Then we started on some exercises and vocabulary building and like always we were laughing and having a blast the whole time. I learned a whole lot of Spanish tonight. Great conversationalist - really fun and instructive discussions

Carlota is the most amazing language teacher ever! I first started working with Carlota after taking three semesters of Spanish in college and having spent some time in Spain for work. I could get by but was nowhere near confident not adept in the language. Carlota is the rare teacher that can bring you from an intermediate to advanced level, and I’ve learned so much about how Spanish speakers think about the language and the real meaning behind grammatical structures. Carlota is super organized - we’ve been working through an advanced Spanish textbook for the past year, and she is always fast to send me back corrections and feedback. Carlota has also put together many of her own exercises and worksheets on a variety of topics, bringing together grammar with literature and current events. I’m so grateful for Carlota’s tutelage and am looking forward to many more lessons. Un abrazo!

Awesome teacher. Very conversational and will take conversation to a wide variety of topics

Had a great intro session with Carlota. She took notes of the vocab where I was uncertain and provided me with a concise GDoc at the end of our lesson. Really nice, really personable.
