Great first lesson with Sam! I am an American Born Chinese so I know accents and a bit of vocabulary (know enough to order food in a Chinese restaurant), but need help with everything else. Sam was very patient and mapped out a comprehensive curriculum, which I'm excited to start. Highly recommend!!

Today we started with a discussion that used words about elections. Then we reviewed some texts. I read them out loud to practice my pronunciation, and then we discuss the meanings and the expressions used in these texts. I learnt some new expressions and had a lot of practice in speaking today. Today we revised homework. I wrote an argument based on new words we learned. It was a great experience being able to write more complex texts and string together coherent thoughts. A lot of great and really useful feedback about word choice. We then looked at some new grammar points. This was a very effective session for me.
