Über mich
italki-Lehrkraft seit 25. Aug 2021
Hi! My name is Miriam and I am an Italian native speaker. I graduated in International Studies of Development and Cooperation at the University of Turin.
I have always had a strong inclination for language in particular in its most creative forms, for this reason, I worked for a certain period with an advertising communication studio and with a contemporary art foundation. I like writing, sewing, going for walks, cooking, I love design, photography, dialects, and visual art.
Ich als Lehrkraft
With each new student, first of all, I listen to her/his needs, desires, and objectives to realize then a tailor-made learning path.
I have traveled extensively in Italy and Europe and I have been fortunate enough to meet many people and projects that still enrich me with culture and knowledge.
Often during my lessons, these people and projects are the protagonists, together with other curiosities about Italy.
I also live abroad and I am speaking and learning a foreign language that helps me understand what learning a new language means.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
During my lessons, you can breathe a fun and peaceful atmosphere.
I use different tools, like texts, extracted from textbooks, essays or novels, newspaper articles, videos, songs, and films. In broad terms, we work on three levels: the first level is the construction of an appropriate lexicon according to the various contexts, personal, working, formal, informal, creative, ironic and, so on. The second level is the stimulation of both, oral and written language comprehension, and the third level is the exercise of the ability to express oneself orally and in writing.
