Forming a personal relationship with my students is paramount. This I do by asking many questions about themselves such as where they live, their interests, their goals and what form they would like the lesson to take.. Would they like to only practice pronunciation or would they like me to assist them with language aspects, such as grammar, vocabulary building, sentence construction spelling. Repetition and practice is of prime importance. By applying patience and positive reinforcement and feedback, I inspire and motivate students to be able to converse in real life situations.

Lina is very patient and makes sure I have a somewhat proficient mastery of the sounds (I’m at the beginning level) and shared so much practice information. Her lesson was organized and upbeat. I look forward to many more lessons with this excellent instructor!

Lina is an excellent teacher, and is very organized. She also adapts each minute to my individual needs. She gives praise, and also in-depth constructive feedback. The sounds are very difficult to learn at such an old age, but she’s very patient. It makes me want to study more, and I will so that I can optimize my time with this gifted instructor.
