Nina 니나

I have been taking lessons with Nina for over a year. She is always well prepared, encouraging, engaging, and just fun to talk to. She can discuss a variety of topics depending on your level and interests starting from French (or Korean) culture and cuisine all the way to how to open a bank account in England as a foreigner. I highly recommend her.

I really enjoyed our first lesson. She used a document with a prepared course for me. I found it interesting that it started with a dialogue, to introduce pronunciation, sentence patterns, and vocabulary in a more practical manner. First, we did the roleplay/dialogue together. Then she corrected my pronunciation with good notes and tips. After reading the dialogue, we went over all of the vocabulary. We then circled back to the dialogue to practice reading aloud again, plus translate. Then we did it again, but this time using my own information. She gave me the opportunity to add anything else I wanted to add to it. I liked the spaced repetition and practicality. She previewed our next lesson (grammar) and asked if I had questions. She was patient, kind, encouraging, and helpful. I also appreciated her willingness to use both English and Korean for our lesson, since I like to ladder languages :) I am preparing for a trip to France to pay my respects to history. See you soon!
