My name is Tola and I am a language/accent fanatic. I specialize in teaching English and Spanish. I lived in Madrid, Spain for about 6 months during a student exchange program and fell completely in love with the language and culture. From that moment, I knew that language would be forever a part of my life. Language learning has been my passion since I was a child. And I enjoy sharing this gift with anyone interested in learning! Throughout my career journey I've worked with students of ALL ages. I truly believe it is never too late to learn a language, as long as you’re committed and keep a positive attitude! I've worked with all ages , including young children so I am patient & understanding. I remember what it was like as a student trying to learn different languages, sometimes I felt overwhelmed. I like to introduce things to students at a pace that feels right for them. I always follow up with an exercise to ensure that they are retaining just as much as they are consuming. I have several years' experience teaching online so I understand that teaching virtually can be challenging to maintaining one's attention. Rather than "lecture-style" I like to present an outline of topics to introduce, then begin with a warm up and ask the student questions with ways to engage them right from the onset! I love to interact with people! I think that is the best way to learn. Everyone has a different method by which they consume and retain information and I am a firm believer in honoring whatever individually works. (For example, some people are visual learners, others are audio learners, some learn audio-visually, while others learn through physical movement, etc) We are all different and that's completely okay! What's important, as an instructor, is to acknowledge these differences and still be able to teach effectively. I like presenting to students first and then let them gravitate to whatever resonates best ! Thus creating a fun learning and teaching experience for everyone!Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

Mon fils est très heureux des cours avec Tola il est toujours très enthousiaste. Tola est très pédagogue, positive, patiente, elle encourage et explique. Elle donne des exercices d’une séance à l’autre ce qui lui permet de progresser à l’écrit et l’oral. Merci mille fois Tola!!
