Hellol everyone! This is Mahdi Birjandi, a Farsi (Persian) teacher on Italki. In the past the years, working as an interpreter & teacher of both Farsi & English connected me to people all around the globe. This is why I know the mutual gaps between Farsi & English.
I am into languages and it has become a part of my soul. currently I'm learning Turkish & Arabic and some day I will learn Chinese or Russian as one of my favorite languages. I think learning a language is a fun experience that that provides a lot of opportunities.Ich als Lehrkraft
As an English/Persian interpreter and teacher, I came across many language learners who have difficulty speaking or hearing correctly. Fixing this problem is what I do!
In have helped many students to learn both languages (Persian/English). My main focus is upon conversation & fluency.

I will set lesson plans based on the demand of students, their learning styles, time, effort and energy. If the student don't want to learn Persian alphabet, I can Romanize for them. The materials I use are authentic. In each session, I'll hand in my pre-lesson notes, so the students will be familiar with the context. In the session, I may record their voice, so I can work on their accent. I will try to correct my students and give them hints. In most of my classes, I will share my desktop so the class is totally audio-visual. Finally based on the demand of the students, I can customize the lesson plan. I really can't recommend taking lessons with Mahdi enough! He's always extremely engaged, his lessons are super fun and interactive and I always learn much more than I ever thought I could in a single lesson. If your goal is to become fluent in Persian, do yourself a favour and book a lesson with Mahdi.

Mahdi is an excellent Persian/Farsi teacher! He's always extremely well-prepared and makes the lessons super enjoyable and educational. Beyond that, he always makes sure to send you the class materials afterwards so that you can continue practicing by yourself. If you're looking for a Persian teacher who is both professional and engaging, Mahdi is an excellent choice.

Mahdi is the ultimate professional. He wastes no time during his classes so you leave feeling like you covered a lot, and he is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to teach using the most effective methods. His English is perfect which is very useful, however he tries to use as little of it as possible and helps you come to conclusions via Farsi which I’ve found to be super helpful for recollection.
After the classes he even sends voice files, homework, transcripts and more from the class - this is not strictly a requirement on the platform and it adds a tonne of value.
Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying my learning with Mahdi, and I would highly recommend him!

we are three lessons in and I feel I am making great strides with Mahdi. A very friendly teacher who gets you talking most of the time. He blends conversation with reading and visual illustrations very well and provides you with a document of all you talked about and an audio file at the end to listen back to. A warm and knowledgeable teacher. I look forward to learning more from him.

Mahdi does a great job creating short stories in order to effieciently teach new vocabulary and practice sentence structure. I had a great lesson and left with lots of new things to learn and review
