Hi there! I’m Katri, a Finnish language tutor. I’ve been teaching learners from all over the world on italki since 2020. I focus on helping adult learners at beginner and conversational levels build confidence and fluency in spoken Finnish. My goal is to make Finnish more accessible, relaxed, and fun for everyone!

My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and goal-oriented. I focus on practical language use, especially speaking and listening skills, to help you feel more confident in real-life situations. Whether you're a beginner or already conversational, I adapt the content to your needs and learning style. I use everyday vocabulary, simple explanations, and a lot of repetition to make learning easier and more natural.

Another great lesson! I showed up to the lesson feeling rusty while speaking, but Katri met me where I was and she got me speaking a lot more than I expected, which is helping me stay consistent even when I am not having my best days.

Another great lesson with Katri! Even when you feel a bit less motivated to study, but still show up at the lesson, Katri makes it a great speaking practice 🤩 My studying batteries are charged again! 🤓🙏

I am very thankful for Katri. I look forward to my weekly lessons. I’ve improved vastly my comprehension and reading skills and my shyness about speaking is improving with each class. She creates a very encouraging and supportive environment while challenging me too.
