I am a dedicated polyglot - I know 5 languages from B1 to C2 level and therefore I have had plenty of experience as a language learner on my own, in groups and in 1-to-1 classes with various wonderful language teachers. I have a BA in Intercultural Communication (Culture Studies) and I like to gain different perspectives by learning languages and exploring new cultures in travelling and in reading. Additionally, I enjoy listening to music - world music, jazz, classical, musicals and film soundtracks too.

Ich als Lehrkraft

I am a language coach - my job is to ease the process of language acquisition for you and also to provide you with useful strategies that will allow to make progress not only in classes, but also on your own. Currently I pursue an MA degree in Applied Linguistics - upon graduation, I will become a qualified English as a Foreign Language instructor for tertiary-level education institutions. I like to try out different methodologies and teaching approaches, I also eagerly follow and attend various events and conferences that help to increase my level of expertise in the field. It will be my pleasure to help you to progress in your English, Latvian or Russian.

My role as a teacher is the one of a facilitator. If you feel that due to some reasons you are stuck in your language learning process and need some guidance to progress, I am here to help you. I use authentic audio and written material to support my classes with. Please note that my conversational practice classes are aimed at learners with A2+ level - they are best suitable for pre- or upper-intermediate learners seeking spoken language practice and vocabulary increase; the topics are commonly based on online-available authentic material tailored to your interests. I offer personalized classes, therefore I will ask you to fill in a short questionnaire to clarify your learning goals.
