My name is Dr. Hannah Stevens and I have a PhD in English and creative writing. I have taught and lectured around the world in universities and worked with organisations including the BBC, the British Embassy and Greenpeace.

I’m very friendly and approachable. I love discussing a wide range of subjects, exploring interesting things and learning together. I enjoy meeting new students and building genuine friendships. I enjoy teaching, writing, reading, travelling and connecting with new people from different cultures.

I teach students through free-talk style lessons.
We can explore your interests through discussion, reading and researching materials in English. We can look at news, short stories, poetry, creative nonfiction essays, music and more! This will help you to build wide ranging and complex vocabulary whilst focusing on interesting and broad subjects.

Great, we talked about the third chapter, Two families in White teeth by Zadie Smith. Full of her sarcastic depictions of minor ethnicities in London. Hilarious!

Brilliant, we talked about the second chapter of “White Teeth” by Zadie Smith. It is closely connected to the incident of the first chapter and reveals why the incident happened. A lot of foreshadowings were embedded in the first chapter. Great!

Fantastic. We discussed the first chapter called ‘ The peculiar second-marriage of Archie Jones’ by Zadie Smith. Archie married Clara of Caribbean heritage. (Same as writer herself) In the next chapter Clara’s life is to be told. I can’t wait！

Her sarcastic expressions depicting dull and average British protagonist called Archie is quite unique and hilarious!
