Hi! I’m JC, a TESOL-certified tutor from New York with 7+ years of experience. Having lived half my life across Asia (Korea, China, Japan), I bridge cultures effortlessly in lessons.

I have worked in high pressure environments such as company meeting halls with large groups of people but I prefer to teach in private. I think 1-on-1 lessons are far more beneficial than other types of lessons.
After teaching for 7+ years now, there were many demonstrable success stories with students regularly passing various language tests such as EIKEN in Japan or TRKI in Russia. I am very laid back and flexible. You don't need to worry! In my classes, I always start with a brief introduction conversation and then we look at a variety of materials, reading, grammar, vocabulary and listening. I also give homework, which is typically worksheets and short essays.
