Minji Kim

It has been a year now since I started class with Minji 선생님 and I feel that I have improved a lot. I feel more confident to speak the language and I understood the grammar better. Her explanations are amazing. Sometimes, when I forget about a grammar, Minji 선생님 will explain the grammar again. I feel very comfortable with her during lessons. She feels like a friend where I can talk about anything. Lessons have always been enjoyable, and I am always looking forward for my lesson. Thank you Minji 선생님. I will continue to work hard.

My favorite thing about Minji 씨 is that she stops bad habits in their tracks even if the lesson isn’t focused on it! For example, today we reviewed 에서, 에, and past tense verbs. I had to answer something saying “my dad”, which I naturally said *제 아빠가“. She let me answer but then corrected me saying we don’t use *제* in this situatuon and she also explained why. Not only that she also taught me what words we don’t use 제 for and what to use instead. It’s so helpful because it answered any future question I had on that even though that wasn’t the focus of the lesson! Same with pronunciation. She’s always quick to make sure I’m pronouncing things right!

I really appreciate how patiently and calmly my teacher reacts to my mistakes. I’ve always needed a kind and supportive teacher to learn new skills, and Kim Minji is the teacher. I’ve been learning Korean for more than five years, but I’ve never studied with such an experienced teacher. It’s not only about language skills, but also about her soft skills as a teacher

Thought I would write an updated review since my last one is from 2023. I’ve been taking classes with Minji 선생님 for over 2 years and I’ve accomplished so much thanks to her. My speaking, listening, and comprehension have improved immensely and I also took the TOPIK exam got Level 6! Since then, Minji 선생님 tailored classes to match my personal goals. We’ve landed on a combo of grammar practice, speaking class, and writing assignments. It sounds standard, but I have way too much fun in classes to ever be bored. Lastly, Minji 선생님 never ceases to amaze me with her dedication to her students. I’ve seen her put in extra time and care to help students learn. She goes the extra mile to ensure students don’t form bad habits and instead form a solid foundation of the basics. I always recommend her to my friends looking for Korean classes. If my 200+ lesson count with her isn’t a testament to how much I love classes with her, then I don’t know what is.

Minji쌤 is a really encouraging and patient teacher. she always gives a lot of examples and is always ready to answer my questions. she made all the material for her classes and everything is easy to understand. also, i like that we use the first 10~20 minutes of the lesson to speak a little bit. i really recommend minji쌤~ ^^

Teacher is very helpful in guiding sentence structure and makes sure that students are able to practice as the lesson continues!
