Hi! my name is Vanessa and I'm currently living in New York City. I just graduated with my masters degree and am working on starting my first job as a Dietitian. During my undergraduate, I fell in love with learning Italian, my second language, and am now determined to learn other languages in the future. I love doing yoga and exercising in general, traveling, and hanging out with my friends and family. Oh and I love food!!!
Together we can talk about anything you like books, Netflix shows, the news, your travels, your dreams etc. Although I may not know everything about the subject you wish to discuss I can always do some research to prepare for our lesson.
Meine Kreationen
Ich als Lehrkraft
I am very patient and understanding, especially when it comes to speaking another language. This is because I am a student as well and I have the same fear and share the same struggles that come with learning another language. I want to assure you that you can speak English and you can overcome every struggle that comes with speaking it. I make a million mistakes even in my native language, English, because no language is perfect and it is constantly evolving. There is no need for perfection just fun! I will create an environment for you to feel completely comfortable and free to practice English and ask as many questions as you want.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
It wasn't until I joined italki that I truly started speaking in my second language. For that reason I stress the importance of just talking! It doesn't matter how many mistakes you make or how strange it sounds or feels to speak the words because the more you try the more you actually can do it!
I want to cater my lessons to you! If you want to have a conversation the entire time then that's what we will do! Or perhaps you would like to do an exercise, learn more vocabulary, or even read your new English book to me. Whatever you need to feel confident and grow as an English speaker we can practice!
