I have been doing conversation lessons with May-san once a week for about a month and I am really enjoying it! After studying Japanese independently for 2 years, my understanding and confidence has improved a lot in the short time I have been tutored by May-san. She is friendly, patient, and has a good feel for when to let the conversation flow and when to pause to provide correction and guidance. I am only at the beginning of my Japanese learning journey, so I felt nervous about taking on immersion-style lessons at first but May-san is clearly a skilled and experienced teacher who has tailored our classes together to be appropriately challenging for my current level. まゆみ先生、ありがとうございます！

Lessons with Mayumi-sensei have been taking my Japanese capability to the next level! Her teaching style is very immersive and allows for intuitive learning, rather than just memorizing. We complete structured speaking practice and work on feedback to perfect it, which helps to solidify new concepts. Mayumi-sensei is a patient and enthusiastic teacher, and takes the pressure off of speaking practice and makes the lesson a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
