Jannie Huang

I have already taken a few lessons with Jannie and she has been very helpful in teaching me all the appropriate grammar and correct vocabulary characters to use in different context. Jannie is very patient and explains things very clearly whenever I have questions too!

I studied Mandarin every day for six months. Duolingo. One hour or more. Every single day. It was ok but not enough. So I found italki, and then Huang Laoshi. She is kind. She is patient. She smiles. She knows where I am in my learning and she meets me there. No wasted time. No wasted words. We work on real, practical things. The kinds of things a man actually needs when he is in a foreign country with his family and does not want to be lost. I am going to Taiwan soon. I am not nervous and that is because of Huang Laoshi.

Jannie was warm and welcoming in our initial trial meeting. She helped me design a learning plan specific to my background and fits my schedule. She is patient, energetic, and explains things well. Glad i found this teacher! Looking forward to mastering mandarin in the next 12-24 months with her!
