I enjoyed taking Serina’s class. As someone who has been learning Chinese for a few years, I feel it is important to practice speaking to maintain your Chinese level. I am happy that I was able to find Serina’s class because I got to practice speaking during class about our daily lives and learn terms that I was not familiar with before. After that, Serina would teach me topics you would usually not be able to learn in your Chinese class. For example, you can learn about how social media played a role in our lives today, popular traditional games in China, and more! You can tell Serina in advance a topic that you are interested in learning, or she can prepare something in advance for you. Serina is very knowledgeable in all of the topics that we have discussed. She has always stay professional and friendly, which made me feel more excited and motivated to improve my Chinese. I recommend this class to everyone, so please don’t hesitate to book a lesson with Serina! 😀

Serina is lovely! She has a wide breadth of knowledge on so many topics from A-Z. She puts a lot of thought into the customized lesson slides and I thoroughly enjoy this unique structure that's loose and free-flowing but am able to gather enough vocab and grammar to review on my own, in-between our meetings. Looking forward to the next session!

excellent teacher for my kids

Serina's lessons are always great to go to! after not studying mandarin for around 2 months, Serina's lesson allowed me to quickly pick back up what I had lost whilst not having that feeling of frustration of not knowing a word you once knew. Each session is well structured with lots of new words backed by example sentences and grammar points! I highly recommend to anyone to book a lesson with Serina! Thank you again for our lesson :)
