Duilius

Duilius is an excellent teacher! I was already at a later beginner or early intermediate level when I started with him, but I can tell that I'll be able to go very far with him. He is really - what can I say? - "excellent" just keeps coming to mind. He is totally clearn inhis speaking, and rephrase things if I don't get it the first time, and is very easy-going and stress-free. Perhaps I shouldn't say how good he is because he'll get so many students that I won't be able to study with him anymore! But he has my highest recommendation.

He is willing to share this knowledge with you patiently and using the best method available to us to learn Latin (the direct method). There are few tutors that can teach you as well as he can. I've learned a lot from him in a short time.

Duilius is great if you want to get a strictly Latin teaching experience. He will communicate almost exclusively in Latin. But don't be deterred: he will make it very simple for you in the beginning. You'll still have to mentally work during the lesson (pay attention, listen to his use of conjugations and declinations), but he facilitates understanding with nonverbals (e.g., gestures, demonstrating with hands, facial expresssions, tone, etc.). Moreover, it encourages YOU to express yourself in Latin. For instance, he may ask you a question and prompt you with the answer (of course, in Latin). Then, you're speaking Latin (even if simplified). Next, he'll ask a question and you'll have to recall the Latin term to answer. Finally, you're able to think and speak in simplified Latin.
