Ken ケン (movie talk)

Ken is very friendly, is easy to understand, and is extraordinarily knowledgeable about film. If you're learning Japanese and you love movies, I could not recommend Ken enough.

ケンさん has been wonderful for the ten months and 40 lessons I have had him as a teacher. He was happy to discuss any topics I brought up, from education to history, to current issues and beyond, and always had interesting stories and viewpoints. I would strongly encourage any prospective student to take a lesson and see for yourself.

今回はポール・バーホーベン監督の話をいろいろ聞かせてもらって、ちょっと印象が変わりました。いくつかその監督の作品をおすすめしてくれて、ありがとうございました。とくに『スターシップ・トゥルーパーズ』という映画、このあと中国の映画サイトで最近の評価を見たら、けっこう「子どもの頃に観てトラウマになった」という人がたくさんいますｗｗ。いやあ、映画ってほんとにいいもんですね。

Ken Sensei always provides lots of follow-up links after lessons, to help answer my questions. He has a lot of cultural and historical knowledge which makes our discussions very interesting.

I've been meeting with Ken for about half a year now, and he is an excellent conversation partner. He is incredibly friendly and has seemingly endless knowledge on many different topics. Highly recommended.
