My name is Hiromi from Okinawa Island, Japan. I was born in the beautiful city of Kanazawa and I also lived in Tokyo, Yokohama and Nara. I have a master's degree in sociology and have been a counselor and a communication trainer for the last 30 years. I also have written and translated several books and articles about family, gender, etc. I attended many conferences in Japan and other countries, in which I learnt a lot of things to empower women and girls. My hobbies include watching movies, gardening and traveling abroad. I am a very friendly, patient and motivated person.

I am very passionate about teaching and learning languages. I have a national certificate to teach English at schools. I speak with a standard and classy Japanese accent. I can teach you daily Japanese conversation or formal conversation, starting from beginner’s level all the way to advanced depending on your needs. There is no doubt that Japanese is one of the world’s most difficult languages to learn, however, I am here to help you to learn Japanese in a fun and enjoyable way.

In my class we can have an interesting chat, and while we do that you practice your speaking. As you speak, I will note down your mistakes in pronunciation, grammar, use of words and correct them afterwards. This way you can improve your speaking skills and vocabulary.
