As a Chinese heritage speaker I really really love working with Yue! I grew up in the USA speaking Chinese in the house but I don't know how to read or write, and my speaking level is elementary at best. I feel like I learn so many new words and also about grammar and these things I really care about to get the language right even just from our conversational lessons. She is super super fun to talk to, a great conversationalist, and I'm really excited to keep working with her!!

I learned Chinese from zero and I thought I would have a mental breakdown after few Chinese lessons, but I am lucky to have Elva as my teacher. She is very patient and supportive for my slow learning process. She always helps me to improve on every class. New words or phrases are always introduced to expand my vocabularies. It was and is still not an easy path but it has been an amazing journey for me to learn Chinese with Elva. I always look forward for my next class with her. 非常感谢耿老师。

I like everything while studying with Yue Geng laoshi. She always prepares interesting topics and videos for discussion about very different topics - it can be some modern phenomenon that is popular in China nowadays or some relevant news. She listens very attentively, always ready to help to express my thoughts, corrects my mistakes, and gives me examples of the right usage. She is always ready to talk about topics interesting for me. Very patient and caring, encourages me a lot! Great teacher!!!
