Tom

I've had quite a few lessons with Tom and honestly I still can't believe I was lucky enough to find him as a teacher. Our conversations are always so fun, I feel like I'm talking to a friend. He mixes formal and informal language and speaks in a way that is neither too easy nor too difficult. That way I still get a challenge without being discouraged. Also, Tom is always so nice and available when it comes to questions/ lesson changes/ scheduling/ etc. 絶対におすすめです!

Another awesome lesson with Tom! I feel like I'm learning a lot! I'm able to understand his questions and to find a way to answer (not always the best way, but he gets what I mean!). Also my writing is improving, less and less mistakes, I feel really happy and motivated! Thank you so much Tomu-san, you're the best!

Tom is a great teacher, he is super patient, willing to help, he has a super nice personality and on top of that he speaks very good English, so if push comes to shove you can rely on English to clarify things. I would highly recommend Tom.

Tom is always energetic and encouraging. It's always a pleasure meeting with and talking to him! He blends casual and natural conversation with more technical / formal language as needed. He is also very open to suggestions and can change topics and style as needed.

Tom-san is a great teacher! I was impressed with how quickly he picked up on my level without me even being sure of it myself, and adjusted his lesson accordingly. He's the first person I've spoken Japanese to even a little bit, and he was so encouraging and cool :)

One of the best tutors so far I've met here in Italki!!! I'll definitely book another lesson with Sensei Tom again! He is insightful, talkative, engaging, and most of all since personally I am a fast-talker myself, he keeps up the pace with me which is really really cool because I really want that kind of fast-paced environment to help improve my fluency in Japanese. I highly recommend him for all levels of Japanese learners.
