Hi! My name is Cynthia, and I’m originally from Hamburg, Germany. I speak German, English, and Spanish fluently, and I’ve always had a passion for exploring the world. By the age of 22, I had already lived in five different countries—Spain (Barcelona), England (Lancaster), Poland (Szczecin), and Mexico (Tijuana). I’m currently based in the beautiful city of Cancún, Mexico.
Professionally, I also work as the Supervisor of the office of the to the Honorary Consul of Germany in Cancún.

I’m a passionate, open-minded teacher with over 10 years of experience. I speak English and Spanish at a fluent level and learned both from scratch, so I understand the challenges of language learning firsthand. My lessons focus on fluency, confidence, and vocabulary-building through engaging, personalized conversations. I’ve taught students of all ages, mostly adults who want to improve their speaking skills or prepare for exams. I offer structured, dynamic lessons customized to each student’s goals. After our trial class, I create a personalized plan that targets your strengths and areas for improvement. Lessons may include speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and exam preparation to build practical, real-world language skills. You’ll speak most of the time, with my support and corrections. I provide clear materials, optional homework, and regular feedback to track progress. Cynthia has a wonderful approach to teaching, I feel as though I have made a ton of progress even though I have only met with her for about a month. She takes the time to go over mistakes in a gentle way and is genuinely invested in my growth as a German learner. I am looking forward to my next lesson!
