Learn German using a full immersion-method! I have been teaching German since 2000 to people who need German for their work, for their studies and for travel. I have work experience in teaching business German and test preparation for all levels. And I follow polyglots because they have interesting learning techniques! In my lessons, I use videos with topics that the students prefer, because I think that we learn best when we deal with topics that we love to talk about. PLEASE READ: I am happy to help with rescheduling classes up to 1 day before the scheduled time, but I do not accept last minute changes. I do not teach children on italki - people under 18 years.

I mainly apply the communicative, audio-lingual, and direct methods which make lessons more interactive. All lessons are tailored to the learning preferences of a particular student to increase motivation and make the lesson more engaging. I also prepare for high level language exams (C1 Goethe Zertifikat for German and French DALF)

Approachable, curious, genuine ... somewhat silly. 😌 I do not offer grammar lessons, and I work exclusively with fluent speakers. My lessons are laid back. I am good at listening, helping you find the right words, and I'll correct you if necessary. I will also type the words down in the chat if you find it useful. Session recordings are welcome.

Having learned a few languages myself, I know how important it is to keep lessons engaging and practical. That's why I try to do as many interactive exercises and drills as possible while keeping the grammar stuff to a minimum, where possible. But the truth is, you will have to learn some grammar when learning German, there's no way around it. But I promise I'll make sure to make the grammar parts as fun and engaging as possible. Plus I provide all the teaching material and exercise sheets, so you won't have to worry about getting books or anything like that.

I have been teaching English before part-time during my university years and had experience with people of different ages and language levels. As I had so many tutors myself while learning English and German, I understand exactly how to help a student to struggle through first difficulties, as well as to help to improve and to advance on the higher levels.
