Indonesian linguist M.A. and certified Indonesian tutor with over 8 years of experience I have been an Indonesian language teacher for over seven years. Currently, I am living in Central Java, Indonesia, and working as an online teacher of Bahasa Indonesia. I was born and raised in Indonesia. I have a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Indonesian language and literature, and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from the University of Melbourne. I speak with a neutral Indonesian accent.

I serve as a Teacher at one of the biggest English Cram school chains in Taiwan since 2019. I like teaching. As a teacher, I believe that I have the superpower to give my students new knowledge and they leave with something they do not have before. Making learning languages fun and dynamic. Why should you be bored while learning? Growing up in a non-English-speaking family, I had no prior experience living in an English-speaking environment. So, it may come as a surprise that I am fluent in English. Over time, I have discovered effective and enjoyable methods that helped me learn a completely different language from my mother tongue. I believe that the key to learning a new language is to start with the student's interests. Therefore, I always use their interests as an approach to learning the language, be it English or Indonesian.

I was very blessed with many great teachers when I was studying in school. Many of my colleagues at school are also very inspiring teachers. Their presence always reminds me that being a teacher is learning to serve and be a blessing to others. I hope that my presence can inspire and answer the needs of the people I teach. As a teacher, I am so happy if my students can be open up and give feedback on my teaching so that I can teach them better.

I started my career as a tutor in 2011 at an English course. I gave two classes, one for elementary students and the other for high school students. I then started teaching private English lessons from home. I am currently working as an English teacher in one of middle schools in my district. I have experience privately teaching Bahasa Indonesia to foreign children as well. So, teaching has been part of my journey for a long time and in many different settings.
