I am very committed to teaching so that my students really learn, notice their mistakes but don't feel bad about them, because mistakes are part of this language construction. I prepare a PowerPoint presentation with pronunciation tips (and accents), introduction to phonetic symbols (Portuguese phonetic tips) and the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese, isolated vocabularies and then small everyday phrases using such vocabulary, idioms, cultural curiosities and small doses of grammar when necessary.
