Phrase - Used to introduce the first point in a sequence.  Example: First of all, I believe that students should have access to free textbooks because it reduces financial pressure.

Phrase - Adds further information to what has already been said.  Example: In addition, providing free materials can lead to better academic performance.

Introduces an example to support a statement.  For example, students who don’t worry about expenses tend to focus more on their studies.
