It was sunny today, but then just like that, we were hit with a monsoon! While we don't call it a monsoon here, the humidity and dampness definitely fit the description I've read in books.
Before I learned about condensation, I used to think the water on the walls was seeping out. Now I understand it's caused by rapid temperature changes, turning the excessive water vapor into visible droplets. My MeeMaw, however, still believes in an element, or perhaps entity called "dampness" that causes it all. She insists that burning some certain joss sticks will help maintain our health and dry up the air. I think she might benefit from reading more about science!
