No Article at All: home, school, bed, breakfast and plurals | Real American English #139
Descripción
After learning "the", many learners put it everywhere: "I love the dogs", "The life is short", "I go to the bed at ten", "I have the breakfast at seven". If your language uses "the" for general ideas, these sentences feel right. In English, they sound wrong or change the meaning.
In this episode:
• General statements: no article
• The or nothing? general or specific
• Set phrases: home, bed, school, work
• Meals, travel, games and subjects
• A bedtime scene
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
