Working as a Restaurant Delivery Driver - English Listening Comprehension

Μια φορά κι έναν καιρό ζούσαν σε μια μικρή στέρνα μερικά βατράχια. Όλη τη μέρα έτρωγαν, τεμπέλιαζαν και πότε - πότε τραγουδούσαν, μα δεν ήταν καθόλου ευχαριστημένα από τη ζωή τους. 
- Πφ, βαρέθηκα πια αυτή τη ζωή! είπε μια μέρα ένας γερο - βάτραχος. 
Είμαστε σαν φυλακισμένα σ' αυτή τη στέρνα και δεν ξέρουμε πώς είναι ο κόσμος... 
Ξέρετε τι σκέφτηκα; Πολύ κοντά μας κυλάει ένα μικρό ποτάμι. 
Θα φθάσω ως εκεί, θα μπω στα νερά του και θα φύγω μακριά να γνωρίσω καινούργια μέρη... 
- Θα 'ρθουμε και μεις, θα 'ρθουμε και μεις! φώναξαν τ' άλλα βατράχια. Βαρεθήκαμε πια να ζούμε νύχτα και μέρα σ' αυτή τη στέρνα και να βλέπουμε τα ίδια και τα ίδια! 
- Ελάτε κοντά μου! είπε ο γερο - βάτραχος. Και πηδώντας ξεκίνησαν για το ποτάμι. 
Έφτασαν μια ώρα αργότερα, βρήκαν ένα κομμάτι ξύλο, πήδησαν πάνω του και ξεκίνησαν για το μεγάλο τους ταξίδι στα νερά του ποταμού. Το ξύλο, σα βάρκα προχωρούσε και τα βατράχια με ολάνοιχτα μάτια από το θαυμασμό κοίταζαν γύρω τους, τα δέντρα, τα δάση, τα χωριά, τους κήπους με τα λουλούδια, τα ζώα και τα παιδιά που έτρεχαν κοντά στις όχθες. Ήταν όλα τους ενθουσιασμένα. 
- Μπράβο! είπε σε μια στιγμή ο γερο - βάτραχος. Κάναμε πολύ καλά που φύγαμε από τη στέρνα! Είδατε τι όμορφος που είναι ο κόσμος; - Τι κουτά που είμαστε και καθόμαστε τόσον καιρό σ' αυτή την παλιο-στέρνα! είπε ένας άλλος βάτραχος. Βέβαια, το φαγητό δε μας έλειπε, αλλά κοντεύαμε να μουχλιάσουμε από την ακινησία... Α... ήταν σοφή η ιδέα σου να φύγουμε... Κοιτάξτε τι ομορφιά γύρω μας! 
Το απόγευμα η βάρκα τους σταμάτησε σ' ένα σημείο του ποταμού που έμοιαζε με λίμνη και τα βατράχια πήδησαν στο νερό. 
- Όμορφα είναι εδώ! είπε ο γερο -βάτραχος. 
- Εδώ να μείνουμε! συμφώνησαν και τ' άλλα βατράχια. 
Ξαφνικά, είδαν ένα μεγάλο πουλί να κατεβαίνει από τον ουρανό και να πέφτει πλάι τους. 
Τα κουτά βατράχια το κοίταζαν με θαυμασμό και περιέργεια... ∆εν ήξεραν ότι αυτό το πουλί ήταν ο πελαργός, που ο καλύτερος μεζές του είναι τα βατράχια... Έτσι, ο πελαργός τα έφαγε όλα...

Victor Hugo - Demain, dès l'aube
 
Our first poem is from the French poet Victor Hugo, one of the best-known French writers. Demain, dès l'aube which means "Tomorrow, at Dawn," is a short and poignant poem about his visit to his daughter’s grave.
The poem was first released in 1856 in Hugo’s collection called Les Contemplations.

Demain, dès l'aube
Demain, dès l’aube, à l’heure où blanchit la campagne,
Je partirai. Vois-tu, je sais que tu m’attends.
J’irai par la forêt, j’irai par la montagne.
Je ne puis demeurer loin de toi plus longtemps.
Je marcherai les yeux fixés sur mes pensées,

小孩很内向，要如何引导他敢于社交跟表达自己的看法？很简单，要从家里开始，所有的教育从家里开始。我的儿子他的普通话说得好的，口才也很不错，参加演讲比赛，总是得奖。你晓得他怎么练出来的吗？他在美国长大，但是他中文很好，是因为我常常训他。训完了我说："儿子，现在该是你的时间了。老爸刚才训了你20分钟，现在你有20分钟可以由你来表达了。"各位，当你训孩子的时候，你有没有给孩子时间让他能够答辩呢？让他答，他知道他要答，他在被训的时候就好好在想他要怎么答，而且这个答是非常好的训练，让他表达。于是，从家里走向外面，他会知道怎么保护自己，怎么说出自己心里的道理。

In this episode we are going to learn 【Appearance】in Chinese.

As a beginner, there're some vocabularies that you didn't learn before, and native speaker's speed seems too fast to understand. But don't worry, let's do it step by step. 
1st time: listen and catch the words you know already, have a guess about the content.
2nd time: look at the text to check if you guessed it right. 
3rd time: listen one more time, repeat after it.
4th time: practice until you can speak as the normal speed without looking at the text.

International Tea Day is observed every year on May 21st and it aims to raise awareness of the long history and deep cultural and economic significance of Tea around the world. The idea is to promote and to somehow Implement activities in favour of promoting everything related to tea.

 International Tea Day has been celebrated for quite some time. It started off on December 15th in countries like India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia and others across Africa such as Malaysia and Tanzania. The idea is to draw global attention to tea and to the global tea trade.

It has also been  linked to wanting more support to keep the cost of tea down. In 2015, the Indian Government proposed expanding the observance of International Tea today  by having some kind of intergovernmental group to discuss tea. They created something which led to big efforts to support the world's tea economy and in 2015, they had a big meeting in Milan to discuss the idea of an international Tea Day.  It then went to the United Nations. And that's how We managed to get International Tea Day on the 21st of May. Here's some very interesting facts about tea here in the UK:

The average British person drinks 876 cups of tea every single year. So, that's well over two cups a day if my calculations are right.

 And, apparently, for centuries, it was used only as a medicine. 

Tea was first introduced to Britain almost 400 years ago and was described, described as a Chinese drink because it first came from China.

A cup of tea has become native to British culture. It's the number one choice for British people and herbal teas are also very popular these days.
