cí mǔ shǒu zhōng xiàn ， yóu zǐ shēn shàng yī 。
慈母手中线，游子身上衣。
lín xíng mì mì féng ， yì kǒng chí chí guī 。
临行密密缝，意恐迟迟归。
shéi yán cùn cǎo xīn ， bào dé sān chūn huī 。
谁言寸草心，报得三春晖。
【注释】
1．游子：在古时候泛指远游旅居的人。
2．意恐：担心。
3．寸草心：寸草，比喻子女；心，指小草的茎干，也暗指子女的心意。
4．三春晖：春天灿烂的阳光，此处比喻慈母的恩情。
【译文】
慈爱的母亲用手中的针线，为外出远行的儿子缝制衣裳。
在他临行之前，一针一线密密地缝制着，只因为担心儿子迟迟不能归来。
有谁敢说，子女像小草一样微弱的孝心，
可以报答慈母像春晖一样温暖的恩情呢？
