Commesso: Certo, signora. Abbiamo una vasta selezione di scarpe sportive. Di che numero ha bisogno?

Cliente: Ho bisogno del numero 37.

Commesso: Perfetto, abbiamo diverse opzioni nel numero 37. Preferisce delle scarpe leggere o con un po' di ammortizzazione?

Cliente: Preferirei delle scarpe con un po' di ammortizzazione per un maggiore comfort durante l'allenamento.

Commesso: Ottima scelta! Abbiamo alcune scarpe da ginnastica molto comode con ammortizzazione. Le mostro alcuni modelli.

Cliente: Mi piacciono queste scarpe bianche con i dettagli rosa. Sembrano davvero comode.

Commesso: Sono molto popolari e offrono un ottimo supporto.

Cliente: Mi sembrano perfette per la mia attività in palestra.

Commesso: Le metto da parte. Ha bisogno anche di calze sportive?

Cliente: No, grazie. Ho già abbastanza calze sportive. Grazie mille per l'aiuto!

Commesso: È stato un piacere aiutarla. Se ha bisogno di altro, sono qui per lei. Buona giornata e buoni allenamenti in palestra!

Have you heard of such a thing as a mental blocker? Or psychological filtering?

Most techers never talk about this because they care too much on helping you with the language (grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing). There is nothing wrong with it but why 60-90% of language learners aren't satisfied about their spoken language performance?

Mental blockers or filtering is when we focus too much on the bad things and ignore the good things. 

This can make us only see the negative parts of a situation and not notice the positives. It's like when you only pay attention to one mean comment and ignore all the nice ones. 

This can make us feel bad about ourselves and not appreciate the good things around us.

Have you found yourself in it? We all do it, I do too in various aspects and my student Savi inspired me to help you become aware of it and deal with it and succeed as the result.

Take your time listening to it as it is the first time in your life you came across this topic and again - it's not what English teachers talk about so please meditate on my thoughts, let yourself grow and come to my vip 1-1 training to ask questions and be helped.

A: 最近天气太热了，我都不想出门。
zuì jìn tiān qì tài rè le ， wǒ dōu bù xiǎng chū mén 。
The weather has been so hot lately that I don't even want to go out.
B: 多热啊？
duō rè a ？
How hot is it?
A: 每天三十多快四十度。
měi tiān sān shí duō kuài sì shí dù 。
It's 30 something almost 40 degrees every day.
B: 下雨吗？
xià yǔ ma ？
Does it rain?
A: 很少下雨，要是下雨还凉快点儿。
hěn shǎo xià yǔ ， yào shi xià yǔ hái liáng kuai diǎnr 。
It rarely rains, it's cooler if it rains.
B: 也是，不过下雨的话出门也麻烦。
yě shì ， bú guò xià yǔ de huà chū mén yě má fan 。
That's right, but it's troublesome to go out if it rains.
A: 你那边天气怎么样？
nǐ nà biān tiān qì zěn me yàng ？
How's the weather over there?
B: 我这边中午太阳大的时候有点儿热，不过早晚有点儿冷。

It's a little hot when the sun is strong at noon, but a little cold in the morning and evening.

It's 28 degrees now.
A: 那挺舒服的。
nà tǐng shū fu de 。
That's quite comfortable.
