Tutor de la comunidadIn Venezuela, we have a musical style and ritual called "Fulía". Fulía is sang and played to honor "The Cross of May", formerly known as the "Tree of May" (the tree of life). It is a ritual done to thank mother earth for the crops, rains and good hunting times, the ancestors, and the Christian God.
Along with the fulía chants, we also recite "décimas", a form of poetry that came from Spain: it has ten verses of eight syllables.

Fulías are not the only chants to the Cross, as almost every state in Venezuela has its way to thank mother earth for Rains, Crops and good hunting times.
