Today I took my daughter to a theater and watched a movie which was recommended by her teacher. The title of the movie is “My PE teacher “. What is interesting about PE lessons in K12 school around here is that they are not considered important and necessary. So main subject teachers often take up PE lessons for math, Chinese, English and the like, especially in high school when students are going to have the final entrance exam for higher education. The PE teacher in the movie is facing this situation but trying to make a difference.

Do you mean that the teachers replace these subjects with the time that the kids are supposed to be in PE?

I would say the PE lessons are replaced with/by the other subjects, or swapped for the other subjects.

Excellent work! Just a couple of mistakes but you generally connected your clauses appropriately
