Written Exercise 40 - Welcome The Fortune God(接财神/迎财神)
Today was the fifth day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, which we call 大年初五 or 正月初五. In Chinese folklore, it was said that the Fortune God was born on the fifth day of the Chinese Lunar New Year. Which we also call it the Welcome Day for the Fortune God.
People start opening shops and doing businesses on that day. People believe that they can make a fortune or make a profit after welcoming the Fortune God. That's why some people, especially people who run a business, love to buy and hang an image of the Chinese Fortune God in their house's and office's. (Please take a look at the <Written Exercise 29- Spring Festival decorations.>on my profile if you want to know more details)
May you be happy and prosperous 恭喜发财!
