Hi friends! Well, I don't think that I have any favourite character. If I really have to choose one, I'll choose Asta from the anime series "Black Clover" by Yuki Tabata from Japan. I choose Asta because, in spite everything going against him, he never gave up. He persevered until he reached his goals.

Mate is used when you know someone very well. So friends would be more suitable.
