It is my honor to be here for your interview. My name is Seki, 26 years old. I hail from Wuhan, a beautiful city of Hubei province. I have got my bachelor’s degree at Hubei University, with the major of Chinese language and literature after my graduation in 2018. In 2020, I entered into Shanghai University to study for a master's degree in linguistics and applied linguistics, and will graduate in June this year. In the past three years, I have been studying articles in core journals such as Studies of the Chinese Language day by day, and writing papers. Up to now, I have published 1 paper, and 4 papers are under peer reviewing. I also have participated in various academic conferences, such as the 6th International Symposium on Chinese Language held by University of Zhengzhou last year. I also have been working as a part-time proofreader in the editorial board of Research on Chinese. This experience enriched my academic knowledge. I have considerable interest in theories such as Generative Lexicon Theory, generative grammar and grammaticalization, but to be honest with you, I suppose my knowledge reserve is not enough. The University of Anhui is a top-ranking university and has a reputation for its learning atmosphere, and above all, there are celebrated linguists, Professor Yu, Professor Xiang, to name but a few. This college exerts a peculiar fascination on me, so I want to continue to study for a master's degree in Chinese Linguistics here. The relationship between verbs and arguments and the lexicalization of verbs with "lao " still remain to be settled, such undertakings require the precise planning.
