General note about corrections: do we correct too much? After reading many notebook corrections from native speakers or other learners, I have found that most of them tend to correct too much of the original text. Often without giving a hint if the correction was made because the original version was wrong or if it was just supposed to make it sound more natural. I think doing so can be demotivating for the student. The lack of explanation can mislead them into thinking that most of his original text was not grammatically correct even though it just did not natural from a native speakers point of view. I prefer changing as little as possible and only give hints how the text can be rewritten or changed to make it sound more natural. Being able to form correct sentences is more important, especially in the beginning, than being able to express thoughts like a native speaker would. Would you agree?

German tutorial / Deutsches tutorium

Hallo zusammen,

Dear all,

who would be interested in a German tutorial?

I am currently thinking about organising a weekly tutorial for students of the German language to talk about the latest news and topics and Germany in general.

In the tutorial, students can practise pronounciation and conversation and get a feeling for the sound in order to become more confident.

Please leave a comment if you would be interested.

Since we will talk in German as much as possible and use English only for explanations, I think the tutorial is suited best for students that already have some experience with the German language.

Who can help translating a motivation letter to Japanese? It is quite long so I know I am asking much, but thanks to anyone who can help. --- I am writing to explain the reasons for my application as an intern. Currently, I am working as an Account Manager for an IT Company in Germany, and I am looking for a new challenge and experience. While taking Japanese lessons at xxx and establishing social contacts in Japan in the past two years, I learned that many Japanese people are interested in learning the German language. I think that is a highly rewarding and fulfilling task to help others reach the goals of their studies. In the past two years, I have had many opportunies to assist friends and contacts from Japan with their German studies, through reviewing or explaining grammar structures or correcting their homework assignments. Additionally, I have taken part in online programs that bring language students and native speakers together. I would like to take this dedicaton to a more professional level. Therefore I am applying for the internship as a German teacher at xxx. Through taking Japanese lessons at xxx, I was able to experience myself how a language that is very different from your native language can be learned in an intuitive and fun way. Trough the internship, I hope to learn skills and methods of how to teach German in a professional and successful way. I was able to gather a lot of work experience in Germany. While working with colleagues and customers from different countries, I have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills. I enjoy working on my own as well as working in a team and adapt to new working situations quickly. Dedication to work, reliability and the ability to empathise are my strenghts. I am highly motivated and convinced that I can fully use these strengths to make the internship a high-producing experience for xxx and myself. Through the possibilty to meet students from many different cultures for Tandem programs and cultural exchange, xxx seems like the ideally suited place for gaining work experience as a German teacher. While doing the internship. I also hope to experience living in Japan for a longer period of time. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Looking for help with writing a remuse and application in Japanese To all Japanese teachers around here. (or other volunteers) I have to write a resume, application and motivational letter in Japanese for an internship position and need a native speaker (or native level) to help me. I would prepare the documents as far as I can and would like to ask someone to check them and talk to me about the necessary changes so I understand what I am sending in the end. You don't have to do that for free, I would gladly cover your expenses with the usual hour rate you take. I will need help within the next three weeks, approximately. Thanks in advance. Please contact me through a comment or message. Felix
