I have just returned from the seven-day Chinese New Year vacation. The Lunar New Year is the most important festival for every Chinese person. During the festival, We usually spend time with family and are surrounded by a variety of tasty food. It's the most relaxed time of a year. Whether you did everything well or not in the last year, the Lunar Year is a new beginning for everyone. All the world is decorated by red ornaments. All the ornaments have a snake on them, because this year is the year of snake. Red things reprsent good luck for the future in Chinese culture. I hope everyone around the world has a good luck in 2025. After this neiher too long nor too short vacation, we return our work and feel energetic. We have made many new years' resolutions during the vacation and will try our best to achieve them. Another good news is that spring is coming, too! A fantastic world with green trees, red blooming flowers and warm sunshine is ahead of us. Everything is thriviing at this time!

The sun blazed brilliantly today. I corrected my math homework in the morning under my dad’s supervision. Then we took MeeMaw to the park. I gripped her arm as we shuffled along the winding paths. Lunch was a distraction - sushi rolls and one huge ice cream. We devoured every dish and licked spoons, but the air felt heavy. MeeMaw has been noticeably weakening. Deep down, I know when dad forces a smile. We’ve all been wearing masks lately, pretending not to notice grief pooling in every silence. It’s suffocating. I am gonna do something to change that.

2/4/2025 This New Year vacation felt like it passed in the blink of an eye. The weather was surprisingly good—so warm that it felt like summer, and I could even wear a T-shirt. I went to Kaohsiung Port to take photos of the huge Chiikawa floating on the water. After that, I headed to the southernmost part of Taiwan to enjoy some fresh and unbelievably cheap sashimi—20 slices for only 100 NT dollars! Later, I went up into the mountains in Chiayi to overlook a breathtaking sea of clouds. It was so stunning that I felt like I was in heaven. My four-day trip down south went smoothly without any accidents. But honestly, I feel like I spent most of the time in the car! I don’t think I’ll have another trip like this in the next three years.
