Tuteur communautaire¿Sabes cómo llamar “tonta” a una persona, de manera elegante en español?
Para el hablante culto esa persona es “estulta”, y el sustantivo de esa palabra es “estulticia”.
Proviene del latín “stultus” y es una de las palabras usadas en español para traducir la célebre obra del holandés Erasmo de Rotterdam Elogio a la estulticia.
In advanced Spanish, when we call someone a fool, we have a very specific word for that: “estulto”. The noun for this word is “estulticia” and it is used in the Spanish translation of the title of Rotterdam’s famous essay In praise of Folly.
Transform your Spanish into something different than a foolish attempt to communicate with others.
Enjoy the process!
