As for most teachers, it's getting hard to communicate to their students as they get old. When they just graudate from university, they are just a little older than their students. They share many interests. Their students like to listen to them and follow the suggestions they given about future education or life . Then the students graduate and young students come. Slowly, they become much older than their students. They have not been the friends of their students, they are like uncles or aunts to their students. They seldom care about the fads among their students. They have to spend more time on their own families, even their mind and knowledge are still stay in the past. They feel the stress from their young colleagues. If you want to be a good techer, you should learn new things every day. This is very different from doctors. As for doctors, The more patients they treat, the more experiences they get. The experience can help them to be a good doctor. Teachers need to be respected, they devote their whole lives to be a good teacher, but we just see their disadvantages. It's not fair!

Today, I received advice from a tutor, so I thought I would go ahead and use. The advice was about the the differences between the tones of written Japanese and spoken Japanese, I will write this entry keeping those distinctions in mind. Because of that, I will reduce how often I used expressions like "んです" and "よね". Today's lesson was with a tutor I'd never used before, so I was a little nervous, but I knew that most of the lesson would be centered around introductions, so in the end I felt fine. During the introductions, we talked about topics that I was used to talking about, so I didn't have to worry about what words to use. Instead, I was able to focus on pronunciation and grammar. Because of that, I think talking about topics you're familiar with with people you haven't spoken to about that topic is good practice

Mindfulness and how to reach it: Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the moment, aware of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. Teaching mindfulness involves guiding individuals to develop this awareness and presence through various techniques and exercises. Here are some steps and methods to teach mindfulness effectively: ### Steps to Teach Mindfulness: 1. **Introduction to Mindfulness:** - Explain what mindfulness is and its benefits, such as reducing stress, improving focus, and enhancing emotional regulation. - Share the scientific evidence supporting mindfulness practices. 2. **Create a Comfortable Environment:** - Ensure the space is quiet and free from distractions. - Use comfortable seating arrangements or mats for sitting or lying down. 3. **Start with Simple Practices:** - **Breathing Exercises:** Guide students to focus on their breath, noticing the inhale and exhale without trying to change it. This helps anchor their attention to the present moment. - **Body Scan:** Lead students through a body scan meditation, where they pay attention to sensations in different parts of the body, promoting relaxation and bodily awareness. 4. **Encourage Consistent Practice:** - Suggest short, daily mindfulness practices, starting with just a few minutes and gradually increasing the duration. - Encourage students to integrate mindfulness into their daily routines, such as mindful eating or walking. 5. **Teach Formal and Informal Practices:** - **Formal Practices:** Include seated meditation, walking meditation, and mindful yoga. - **Informal Practices:** Encourage students to bring mindfulness into everyday activities, like paying attention to the sensations while washing dishes or listening actively during conversations.
