In the one-on-one trial English lesson, the lesson objective will be to learn about you. The conversation will be about what you want to achieve in your language studies. 

I will ask questions and listen. By listening, I will determine your level of grammar, pronunciation, speaking, listening and make a plan for how I can help you grow as a language learner. 

I will ask about your hobbies, professional interests, goals, and so forth. The more I know about you, the more I will be able to guide you. 

The trial lesson is a free flow lesson, meaning the conversation will cover many areas. As a teacher, I will tell you about my teaching style and methods, the material I use, and much more. So welcome and I hope to see you soon.

This lesson is for learners who want extra attention to improve their pronunciation and speaking ability. It can be taken by itself or in combination with other classes. 

Upon identifying each student's specific pronunciation and speaking needs, we complete activities and drills that specifically address those needs, including special vowel and consonant sounds, syllable, word, sentence stress, intonation, and word connections. 

In this lesson, the aim, as well as results, will be:
(1) an increase in the learner's speaking fluency, organisation of ideas and vocabulary
(2) improved listening skills and pronunciation 
(3) confidence in speaking and carrying on a conversation

The focus of this lesson is getting students to practice speaking English based on scenarios and topics of their own interests. Students receive feedback and assistance in vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence structure,  and spelling.

The lesson will start as a casual conversation and a topic that interests the student. And based on the student level, we will use target language that fits the student with some challenging vocabulary thrown in to stimulate, and encourage progress.

General English Tutoring

If you want to improve your Business English then this lesson is for you. In this lesson, students will acquire and practice important business vocabulary and pronunciation using business contexts such as:

1. making introductions 
2. delivery presentations
3. leading meetings
4. writing emails
5. preparing CV/Resume
6. cover letters and invitations 

among other topics as the student likes. 

We will discuss and complete activities in several business areas such as marketing, consulting, human resources, strategic planning and so forth. We will discuss topics such as managing teams, setting a productive corporate culture, being a leader instead of a boss, and any other topics the student wants to discuss. 

All material will be provided and students can expect to have appropriate language practices will be incorporated where needed. Some listening activities may be incorporated as needed to ensure students listen well, because in business, a lot of issues can be resolved by active listening and proper communication.

Do you want to learn about cryptocurrency? If you are interested in cryptocurrency, what to look for and how to invest in it, then this lesson is for you. This lesson is for beginners (A2) and intermediate (B1-B2)  and even advanced (C1-C2) students who want to begin learning about crypto.

The class will discuss what makes a successful crypto project, platforms to use, how to setup a wallet, staking or farming, and other topics that students are interested in concerning cryptocurrency.

I took a 120 hour TEFL Advanced TEFL course with a classroom component.

Obtained a bachelors of arts degree in English Literature.

I have held many roles within the Ministry. I started working for them in 2016 as an English and Business Teacher. I was then promoted to a Lead Teacher position managing 3 schools and a staff of 16. I was a Lead Teacher for 3 years and I was then promoted to a Teacher Trainer position. I worked as a Teacher Trainer while also teaching virtually. My manager was promoted into the assessment unit, he asked me to join him and thus I took the promotion and now I work as an Assessment Specialist .

I worked as an English Teacher and trainer and I:
*Taught adult students’ grammar and conversational English

*Taught assertive communication and choosing the right words for emphasis *Invigilated exams
*Planed, daily, weekly and monthly plans

I worked as an English Teacher for middle and high school students and I:
*Taught High School and Middle School English lessons
*Worked on a team that revamped the curriculum
*Planed, daily, weekly and monthly plans *Taught SAT prep classes for grade 12 *Taught pronunciation and grammar classes

I substituted English classes teaching literature, effective writing, creative writing and other aspects of teaching English. This was a part time position as part of my English degree thesis.
