During a trial lesson I will ask you some questions about what your goals are with learn English. I'll let you know about the three types of lessons that I have available and you can ask questions about my lessons. We might have a quick conversation which I will ask you a few questions and give you typed corrections about your pronunciation and word choice.

READ MY TUTOR PROFILE COMPLETELY BEFORE BOOKING A LESSON. 
During this first lesson I will ask you a questions to get to know you as a student and help you determine what you want to get out of the English lessons. We will discuss what you want to learn in regards to speaking English. I will inform you about my educational classes and what those would involve. Depending on your level I will let you know if I can be your tutor or not for future lessons. Depending on your level I will inform you of what type of lesson that I offer would be best for your needs. For example if I determine you have a lot of pronunciation issues then I'd recommend on taking my phonetics education class next after the new student class. If you don't have a lot of issues with pronunciation then I could help you with phrasal verbs/prepositions/conversation. We might have a conversation during this  new student lesson. If you are not comfortable or do not want corrections about your speaking (pronunciation/word choice/etc.) then do not take my classes. To take my lessons you must be able to fully listen/comprehend basic spoken American English. Lesson requirements: Working camera and microphone. Good internet connection. Arriving to class on time. Minimal to zero background noise. I prefer classes with students where I do not have to talk over background noise (shouting/ loud parties/construction/tv on.)  I must be able to see/hear you during the class. Attendance policy: If you book this class but do not attend at all and do not inform me ahead of time then the money/credits go to me. Class will end 2 to 3 minutes early if I have a student booked right after you.

New Student- Take this class first if you've never taken one of my classes before.

You will either use a phonetics book during class where you’ll get one on one corrections from me to help with your pronunciation issues or we will use other materials during class to help with phrasal verbs/prepositions/vocab/basic reading etc. It’s essential that during these classes you are focused and pay close attention since I will be focused on you with your mouth movements and the sounds that come out of your mouth as you speak. If you do not want corrections about your speaking (pronunciation/word choice/etc.) then do not take my classes.  To take my lessons you must be able to fully listen/comprehend basic spoken American English. Please arrive to class on time and have good internet connection with a working camera and microphone. Minimal to zero background noise. You will be required to do some sort of review/studying outside of class. You might (depending on what level you are) have a short assignment. Either a short writing assignment or prepare for a short quiz which would involve pronouncing words.

Educational class using learning materials during class. Homework to do after class.

During this lesson we will do conversation only. I will give you some suggestions for topics. For example: Hobbies, movies, music, games, food. I do not discuss politics or religion. You will receive corrections from me typed on Italki Classroom chat. I give corrections about pronunciation, word choice and is it something that we would say before class is over, If you are not comfortable or do not want corrections about your speaking (pronunciation/word choice/etc.) then do not take my classes.  You will learn how I speak in my state of Ohio, which is in the Midwest of the United States.  It will be mostly you, the student speaking during this class.
