In this lesson we will have a conversation to get to know each other. We can also talk about what your future goals are and make a plan to reach them

This lesson focuses on revising written English work.  These lessons are different from General English due to the teacher's out-of-class time document editing and review. Additionally, they focus on :
-Conversations because they will focus on:
-writing for professional settings
-professional presentations
-writing a CV /Resume /Curriculum 
-writing a cover letter
-interview

For these lessons, they also include my edits and recommendations on the work material you provide. For example, if you send me a copy of your resume (CV/Curriculum) I will proofread it and provide suggested edits. We will do an in-depth discussion about these suggestions and why they are used. 

*Please note: if you don't send a copy of your work before the lesson, I would suggest that you select a lesson with more time because it usually takes longer than expected to review your work and discuss it. Otherwise, we might run out of time.

English for Work - Work Document Corrections

The main focus of this lesson is conversation and talking as much as possible in English. These  lessons can have additional focuses on:
-reading comprehension
-pronunciation
-building vocabulary
-grammar
-writing
-listening comprehension
-conversation for work or social life
-any other area you want to work on

General English - Conversation

I chose this course in order to be a TEFL certified ESL teacher.

I studied Psychology, clinical and research,  and I minored in Spanish.

I have been working as a community tutor on Cambly. I have worked with students from around the world. I primarily worked with older students and those with level of B1 or higher, but I have had a lot of younger students as well as those new to English. It has allowed me to hone my teach style and skills, and also allowed me to learn a lot about my students' cultures.

Assisted in the diversity and inclusion consulting efforts by identifying clients’ needs conducting individual interviews, writing the project proposal and agreement, and then developing and aiding in executing the program. Was responsible for creating webinar and speaking presentations as well as supporting documents.

Identified inefficiencies within the organization and provided continuous improvement 
solutions that align with the strategic goals. Lead a portfolio of projects by employing 
process improvement methodologies and analytics. Assisted in operationalizing 
improvements into the culture of the organization to accomplish measurable and 
sustainable business process improvements and strategic objectives
» Created a volunteer research assistant program which trains and mentors 
university students
