Conversation class is for anyone who wants to practice speaking as much as possible on a variety of topics. If you have the knowledge of Mandarin language to a certain degree but still struggle with speaking or using the grammar that you have learned, this class is perfect for you!
We can either discuss the content of a video, an article or a podcast episode (Feel free to check out my podcast "Mandarin Journey with Areta" for intermediate learners!)

會話練習 Conversation / Informal Tutoring

★Beginners / A0-A2
This course is for those who would like to start or who have just started learning Mandarin. It includes all the basics of the Mandarin language: tones, basic grammar, etc. The aim of the course will be to help you build the basic concept of the language and soon be able to conduct daily conversation.
For beginners, I recommend following a syllabus to build up your grammar as Chinese syntax is very different from other languages. Currently I teach only Taiwanese Mandarin.
Material: "A Course in Contemporary Chinese" written in traditional Chinese, using Taiwanese terms.
My classes are at least 80% conducted in Chinese. Students need to focus on listening in class and are required to do preview and review homework as well as recognizing traditional characters. 

★Intermediate and advanced level / B1-C1
This course is provided for learners who can already express themselves on several topics. For this level, I will provide more reading and writing materials, and we'll have a lot of discussions on various topics. There will be some assignments covering listening, writing, reading or speaking. Besides class materials, I can also use a Google sheet to list all the new words/expressions you have learned during the class so that you can review at any time you want.
