It is important to me that the student understands the language, so I will be explaining a lot of background information (which I also had to learn and that had helped me). Like that it will be easier to remember. I'm patient and a good listener. I insist on correcting the mistakes a student will be making ( a lot of teachers, just let them slipping by, but I find it important to tell them when they make mistake, so they can learn.) I've read and seen some videos on memory technique and how to best learn new information (spaced repetition) so I will try to include that into my teaching as well.
