ふりかえると、『森』の住人たちがならんでいました。

大男が大きな声をあげました。

「ウソおっしゃい。外からきたものが どうして私をしっているの？」

カンパネラは 大きく息をすって　きもちをととのえ、こたえました。
「むかし、あの岩のうえで笛をふいてたろ？」
赤毛の女は目を丸くしました。
